Learning Support Assistant

Applications to be made by: Monday 21st October at noon

Service Conditions: Surrey Pay, Fixed Term Contract until 22nd July 2020

Salary Grade/Range: PS3 (£17,316-£18,242 pro-rata)

Working Pattern: 18.75 hours hours a week - 8.40am to 12.25pm (5 days a week term time only) + inset days

Responsible to: Headteacher, SENCO

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic staff member, to support a Year 3 child with a diagnosis of ADHD, difficulties with learning and some aspects of social communication. The role will include supporting the child in the classroom, delivering directed interventions and a social skills group, with the emphasis on building the child’s self-esteem and independent learning skills. This post will also include some hours supporting other children with special needs. The ability to liaise effectively with other staff members is essential as well as being able to show initiative in the role.

 

The successful applicant will be offered a temporary pupil-specific contract and hours may be varied during the duration of the contract to meet the needs of the child.

Breakfast and After School Club Playworker Supervisor

Salary Grade/Range: PS4 (Actual pro-rata salary £7,843)

Working Pattern: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday - 7.05am to 9.00am
                                Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday - 2.45pm to 6.15pm

Responsible to: Headteacher, School Business Manager, Breakfast and After School Club Manager

Responsible for: Breakfast and After School Club Playworkers

 We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and approachable Playworker Supervisor to supervise our Breakfast and After School Club teams.  If you enjoy working with children, and want to provide and develop high quality child centered play activities in a relaxed, safe and secure environment then this could be the job for you.

Working with the Breakfast and After School Club Manager you will be responsible for the planning, resourcing and organisation of stimulating activities and supervising the playworkers in the delivery of the provision.

Previous experience as a leader and working with children would be a distinct advantage.  Your ability to establish good relationships with both pupils and staff, together with an understanding of managing pupil behaviour is essential.  You will have a recognised paediatric first aid qualification and food hygiene certificate or be willing to undertake training.

Assistant Caretaker & Cleaner

Salary Grade/Range: PS3
(Assistant Caretaker - actual salary pro rata £10,247 per annum & Cleaning £7,990 per annum

Working Pattern: Assistant Caretaker - 21.25 hours per week (10.00am to 2.45pm)
                                Cleaning - 20 hours per week (3.30pm to 7.30pm)

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, committed and practical person, to be part of a hard-working and supportive site management team.  You will need to be able to work cooperatively with all members of the school community and also have the skills and knowledge to ensure high standards of cleanliness and maintenance throughout the site.  Experience as an Assistant Caretaker is preferable but not essential, as training will be given.  The school is available for lettings outside the school day and it is a requirement of all site staff to cover lettings.

 Cover Staff

We are keen to build up a bank of people who can provide cover when the school faces staff shortages due to sickness and training.  We are particularly keen to build up a pool of staff to cover our Breakfast Club, After School Club and during lunch breaks.

The hours are as follows:

  • Breakfast Club: 7.05 a.m. – 9.05 a.m.
  • Lunch: 12.15 p.m. – 1.30 p.m.
  • After School Club: 2.45 p.m. to 6.15p.m.

We offer a competitive salary with a full induction to ensure that all our staff, regardless of how many hours they work, are all given the same excellent training.
