Our Forest School

Unplanned, Unexpected and Unlimited Experiences To Inspire All Our Children

The Forest School philosophy is to encourage and inspire through engaging and motivational tasks whilst developing independence, self-discovery, confidence, communication skills and raise self-esteem.

Through regular unplanned, unexpected and unlimited outdoor woodland experiences, children are given the time to develop their own skills, interests and understanding of their natural environment.

Developing learning through play, all children are carefully nurtured to develop their self-awareness (including reflection), self-control, self-motivation, empathy and social skills.

Through learning by play experiences, children will be able to

  • Enjoy themselves
  • Be creative and use imagination
  • Be independent
  • Express themselves
  • Stay healthy and active
  • Manage risk and boundaries
  • Build relationships
  • Develop a sense of community
